After the loss of one of our dogs in March, I swore to myself that we would stay a one dog house. Our english pointer, named Suzy, is older, kinda lazy, a little boring and perfectly quiet. She does her best to please, is always at my side and doesn't tear up the baby toys or dig in the trash while we're gone. In fact, she's the perfect dog.
But sometimes the house is too quiet and too clean..
I debated for a long time about the decision to add another body to our house. I didn't really want to housebreak a new dog. I didn't know if I could keep my sanity with a baby and a puppy in the house. Most importantly, though, I struggled with the thought of replacing Izzy. In fact, I'm still struggling with that thought. But that's part of life... moving on. Besides the whole dog scenario, my entire life seems to be transitioning.. some things for the good, some for the bad.. and some things are completely uncertain. The uncertainty is what led me to start looking for a new puppy to add to our home. Only change is certain.. and what better way to replace uncertainty than with a house full of craziness and lots and lots of love...
So with that said.. I'd like to introduce you to Bella...

Who could resist that face? More pictures!
Oh, my, it is clear, you know so MUCH about life...good for you E! A fresh infusion of energy, a new need for love, a new pal for your babe, what could be better! The only regret you'll ever have, is the loss you will feel years hence. Izzy will never be replaced - know it! But this little guy, well, how could any of us resist/ Jack
How cute! Great looking pup! Congratulations!
nothing like a puppy to make everything feel right...even with all the craziness.
Congrats and welcome to Bella!

She's a cutie. Good luck.
what a sweet face!!!
i came over from LB's place to say hello. your pup posts just lured me in to stay...
I'm going through the same thing...just had to put my 12 year old lab partner down (I'm a game warden and she patrolled with me every day). I too swore that I wouldn't want a replacement...but now I want to give a German Shorthair a try. My husband is less than convinced at this point. Any ideas on convincing him?
